From Linguistics to Coaching: how being linguistically self-aware can ignite change in our lives

In this talk I am going to show how language shapes the coaching relationship and process, as well as client's personal development, and how it can be a vehicle for igniting change. After I present what coaching is and how I began to appreciate it as the lost art of being, I provide evidence where conclusions of the linguistic research are used for activating and shaping behavior change, fostering meaning and motivation, and building a flexible sense of self.
