Structure argumentale - Structure aspectuelle

A project of the Fédération Typologie et universaux du langage, (CNRS FR 2559) 2010-2013

The project aims at studying the argument and aspectual structure of verbal and non-verbal predicates, at the interface between Lexicon and Syntax, concerning morphological, syntactic and semantic phenomena.

Main aspects at study :

 thematic roles

 relationship between argument structure and event structure

 aspectual properties and event types

 linking problems : thematic roles - grammatical functions

 relationship morphology - argument structure and event structure - syntactic structure

There is a project meeting every month, as well as invited presentations.

The first year was dedicated to Nominalizations.

The second year was dedicated to Participles.

We just applied for the third year which will be dedicated to complex predications.
